Installing ChanoX2
This guide covers how to install ChanoX2 on all platforms.
System Requirements
Section titled “System Requirements”| Operating System | Minimum Requirements |

| Windows | Windows 10 (64-bit) or higher |
| macOS | macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or higher |
| Linux | Ubuntu 20.04, Fedora 34, or distros supporting AppImage |
General Requirements:
- RAM: 4 GB or more (8 GB recommended)
- Disk Space: 200 MB for the application
- Display: 1280x720 or higher
Windows
Section titled “Windows”Method 1: Installer (.exe)
Section titled “Method 1: Installer (.exe)”- Download the installer from Downloads
- Select
ChanoX2-Setup-x.x.x.exe - Open the file and follow the steps:
- Click Next to start installation
- Choose installation folder (default recommended)
- Click Install
- Wait for completion, then click Finish
Note: If Windows SmartScreen shows a warning, click “More info” then “Run anyway”
Method 2: Portable Version
Section titled “Method 2: Portable Version”- Download
ChanoX2-Portable-x.x.x.zip - Extract to your desired folder
- Open
ChanoX2.exeto launch
Portable Version Benefits:
- No installation required
- Can run from USB drive
- No Registry entries
Installing with DMG
Section titled “Installing with DMG”- Download the
.dmgfile from Downloads - Open the downloaded DMG file
- Drag ChanoX2 to the Applications folder
- Launch from Applications or Launchpad
Gatekeeper Issues
Section titled “Gatekeeper Issues”If macOS shows “ChanoX2 can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer”:
- Open System Preferences → Security & Privacy
- In the General tab, you’ll see a message about ChanoX2
- Click Open Anyway
Or use Terminal:
xattr -cr /Applications/ChanoX2.appChanoX2 supports multiple installation methods on Linux:
AppImage (Recommended)
Section titled “AppImage (Recommended)”AppImage works on almost all Linux distros without installation:

Debian/Ubuntu (.deb)
Section titled “Debian/Ubuntu (.deb)”# Install with dpkgsudo dpkg -i chanox2_x.x.x_amd64.deb

Section titled “Fedora/RHEL (.rpm)”sudo rpm -i chanox2-x.x.x.x86_64.rpmFlatpak

Section titled “Updating”ChanoX2 supports automatic updates:
- When a new version is available, you’ll see a notification
- Click Update Now to download and install
- The app will restart after the update completes
Manual Updates:
- Download the new version from Downloads
- Install over the existing version (your data will be preserved)
